Back To 1984…
1984 was a good year. I was 12 years old. Mary Lou Retton won Gold in the Los Angeles Olympics. Prince released Purple Rain. And Pentax released the Super Program. Some articles on the net indicate it may have been introduced in 1983, but I don’t know as many cool facts about that year, so I am sticking with 84.
Anyway, I recently purchased one of these beauties from ebay, and it quickly became my new baby. The picture below is not my actual camera, I haven’t had time to photograph it yet. However, mine has a Pentax SMC 50mm 1.7 lens that is wonderful for portraits. I used it in the headshots below on my Pentax K10D. The lens alone was worth what I paid for the camera.
I made a bit of a resolution this year that I would get out and shoot more film. I need to stick to that. There is a snow storm coming here in the TUL, so maybe that will get me out to finish off the first roll.
